Recently, after serving as a media specialist at the early service at my church, I left the service with work and other matters filling my mind. I reached my vehicle as a woman in a car drove up and stopped. She walked to my vehicle and asked for $5 for gas money.
She told me that she had to get to a regional hospital to visit a relative very quickly and that she did not have the fuel or the money to buy it. I told her to follow me to a gas station.
I began to fill her gas tank and noticed that she was in some distress, so while the tank was filling, I took a Personal Workers Testament from my pocket and
shared from the “Helps” in the front. She seemed genuinely interested. She was anxious to be on her way but also seemed interested when I told her that on the back two pages she would find God’s plan of salvation, a simple pathway to freedom from fear of death. She promised to use this little book, and I believe that God will use this experience to touch her life in a positive way.
I thank God for the opportunity and for the lesson that we must all be mindful of opportunities to share God’s love as we travel the byways of life. The Gideons International
