You can help us with the printing and distribution of Bibles that people so desperately need.

IT ALL BELONGS TO GOD

We readily admit these truths from the Word:

“… for the earth is the Lord’s, and the fullness thereof.” 1 Corinthians 10:26
“… for every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle on a thousand hills.” Psalm 50:10
“… Everyone to whom much was given, of him much will be required, and from him to whom they entrusted much, they will demand more.” Luke 12:48
“Moreover, it is required of stewards that they be found faithful.” 1 Corinthians 4:2

Many devout Christians only consider stewardship of possessions in terms of their current income and/or their cash flow situation. We do not look beyond our current cash position when it comes to what God wants us to do with the accumulated possessions with which He has blessed us. Even when we have given our tithes and generous offerings, we have to realise that those things we keep as our assets, are not really our possessions – it all still belongs to Him. We are only His stewards.

A gift of hope

The thirst for the Word of the Lord is not decreasing, in fact, it grows more and more each day. South Africa is the only self-supporting Gideons country in Africa and one of just eleven in the world.

In many countries it is impossible for the people to afford Bibles, or Bibles are simply not available in those countries. A donation of any amount can change lives. Here are examples of typical amounts required for purchasing a number of Bibles for placements in countries around the World:

Small School: R10 000
Military Staff: R11 500 to R14 000
High School: R13 900 to R23 200
800-bed Hospital: R20 000
25-room Hotel: R1 575

AN ONGOING LEGACY

The impact you can have on the world doesn’t end when God calls you home. The people you’ve touched, the example you’ve set, the witness you’ve been all continuing to change the world.

There is another way, however, that you can continue to share God’s love with the world, and that is to support The Gideons International in South Africa through planned giving.
