The Testaments placed by The Gideons pop up in strange places. The young man in the photo is Jafel Filho, nicknamed “Pastor”. He is a mixed martial arts fighter from Brazil. He won the Ultimate Fighting Championship in Las Vegas on Saturday, 16 March 2024. Immediately after the battle, his support team presented him with this Bible, which he triumphantly held aloft when he was announced the winner, after which he also testified that Jesus is his Saviour.
